AnjaanaAnjaani is a 2010 musical romantic comedy film directed by Siddarth Anand produced by SajidNadiawala productions. The movie which had Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the main lead told the story of a suicidal young man who is interrupted in between his attempt to jump from a bridge by a depressed girl, resulting in them forming a pact to fulfil each other’s last wishes together.
Anjaana Anjaani begins off by showing the low points of the two totals living in the USA with the hopeless hero on the verge of bankruptcy and the heroine who has found out her boyfriend cheating on her. Losing all hope the two decide to commit suicide and ironically they both go through unsuccessful attempts at killing themselves they land up together in the hospital. After yet unfruitful tries at killing themselves the duo decide a deadline before which they can fulfil each other’s last wishes. The rest of the movies explore the duo’s quirky and over the top journey in realizing their love for each other and the ensuing romance.
AnjaanaAnjaani was a box office success and fetched highly positive reviews.
