Shekhar, played by Aftab Shivdasani is happily married to Nandita, played by Ameesha Patel and they have a 6 year old daughter Sheena. Their life is blissful and happy until one day Shekhar meets model-actress Kavya at a hospital. They instantly become friends and start falling in love. Shekhar’s friend Dr. Kunal warns him to stay away from Kavya as this will cause problems not just in their marriage but later in his life as well. He takes his advice and reduces his interaction with Kavya. When he goes to Goa for a press conference, he finds Kavya has followed him there. She tells him that this is the only way she doesn’t feel lonely. He is unable to live a double life with his wife and Kavya and constantly gets angry with Nandita, which she notices.
Finally Shekhar asks Kavya to end the relation but she refuses. Next day his affair with Kavya has come in all the newspapers. She confronts him and slaps him. Next day she apologizes to him and visits Kavya and begs her to leave her family alone and not break their marriage. Learning of Nandita’s visit to Kavya’s house infuriates Shekhar further and he leaves home. Shekhar decides to leave his wife and daughter to be with Kavya, a decision that he will regret for the rest of his life. He then gets a call from Nandita saying that Sheena is sick and wants to meet him. Kavya doesn’t let him go saying this is Nandita’s plan to get him back. This angers Shekhar and he calls her mentally ill. Upset and depressed, Kavya shoots herself.
Years later Sheena meets her sick father after reading his diary and hugs him and also forgives him. She begs her mother also to forgive her father and she agrees. The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Pritish Nandy. The music is composed by Pritam.
