Mahendra Babu goes to Madhukar Shahi’s house to propose marriage of his daughter to his son who is studying for his IAS exams. He is willing to give Rs.15-20 Lakhs in dowry too. Madhukar however says that his son’s exams results are yet to come and he isn’t ready to be married yet and rejects the proposal. However, Mahendra Babu isn’t one to give up, he gets the groom Raghuveer kidnapped and kept in an isolated hut where he tortured everyday to agree to the marriage.
Raghuveer, who had come to his hometown only to tell his father about him wanting to get married to his pregnant girlfriend in Delhi is now assaulted to get married to a girl he doesn’t even know. Mahendra’s daughter Janki is lied to by her family that the groom is ready to marry her and soon the preparations will begin. She then takes one look at him in the locked hut and says she really likes him. But she doesn’t know that even she is forced into this marriage and things will get ugly after the marriage takes place.
The movie is directed by Sushil Rajpal and produced by Dr Romen Kumar Jha. The music is composed by Bapi Tutul and the singers include Kalpana Patowary, Shreya Ghoshal, Prabhati Mukherjee and Kailash Kher. The star cast includes Raj Singh Chaudhary,Vinay Pathak, Akhilendra Mishra, Swati Sen, Jaya Bhattacharya and Neelima,Himanshi.
