Anandamoyee (Chhaya Devi) may be a childless dowager in a Bengal town. One day a man turns up, claiming to be her nephew. He takes her to live with him and his family in Calcutta. Within the city, she encounters something associated to culture stun, as she experiences children asking on the lanes and day-to-day viciousness.
