Anant Walenkar is a diligent and sub-inspector with the Bombay police. This was however not the career he always wanted, as his strict father forced him to join the police force. He meets Jyotsna, a lecturer and both fall in love. One day Anant arrests a group of three goons and locks them up. He now comes in the bad books of goon Rama Shetty, and is asked to meet him. However Anant refuses to release the three men
and even refuses Rama’s offer to join him. On another occasion, a man lodges a complaint that a local thug has been a harassing women in his area. Anat arrests him, but soon gets a call from his superior Haider Ali asking him to let the man go as he is the local MLA’s man. This frustrates Anant and he looses his faith in the system. Meanwhile the MLA asks that Anant be suspended. The latter is then asked to meet a mediator named Desai, who has connections and lets the matter quietly slip away. This further infuriates Anant and he takes to drinking, knowing that he had done nothing wrong. One day things take a turn for the worse when a thug is arrested for a petty crime, but a drunk Anant
takes out all his anger on him and the thug succumbs to his injuries. This now means that Anant will have to face prison. He goes to Rama Shetty for help in his den and in a shocking move strangles him to death. The film is directed by Govind Nihalani and produced by Manmohan Shetty, And Pradeep Uppoor.
