Pooja and Inder have a happy married life, but soon cracks begin to appear in their relationship. Inder is not able to stay on in one house for long and hence the couple have to keep relocating. This takes a toll on their marriage. Pooja wants a house of their own where they can permanently reside. Inder is a filmmaker and is waiting for his luck to shine. He finally surprises Pooja with a huge apartment and tells her that this is their new house and he got it as a reward for his new film. Soon Pooja realizes that Inder is having an affair with film actress Kavita Sanyal and she is the one who gifted them the apartment. A distraught Pooja walks out of the house but soon begs Inder to leave Kavita and come back to her but he refuses. He says that he is in love with Kavita and cannot leave her. Meanwhile Kavita’s mental state is very fragile and she keeps having mental breakdowns and blames Pooja for her problems. Pooja begins to live in a women’s hostel and meets Raj who falls in love with her. He helps her get through with her troubled marriage. Soon Inder realizes his mistake and comes back to Pooja but she refuses to let him be a part of her life anymore. She then adopts her maid’s daughter and lives happily on her own but promises Raj that whenever she is ready to fall in love she will come to him. The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Kujit Pal. The music is composed by Jagjit Singh.
