Kumar Chandra is an honest and tough cop who takes his job very seriously. One day when he is about to bust a bank robbery, things go horribly wrong. He is caught with a bag full of cash from the loot and becomes a prime suspect in the heist. He is then stripped of his police batch and is arrested. His mother is devastated to hear of her son’s plight and dies of shock. Kumar then has a terrible accident in prison, which
leaves him cripped for life. After many years when he is released and walking on crutches, he swears to find the people who ruined his life and punish them. He takes the help of three tough girls Sunita, Sonia and Kamini and also Shankar Dada to do the job. Little does he know that one of the women was responsible for his downfall. The film is directed by Umesh Mehra and produced by Parvesh C Mehra. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty, Amrish Puri, Zeenat Aman, Shabana Azmi, Parveen Babi, Kanwaljeet Singh, Mohan Choti, Bob Christo, Avtar Gill, Jankidas, Jeevan, Pinchoo Kapoor, Satyen Kappu, Yusuf Khan, Viju Khote, Mac Mohan, Nadira, Narendra Nath, Anirudh Agarwal, Ratna Mala and Asha Sharma.
