Aashi, played by Aishwarya Rai is a happy go lucky girl and adored by her father. One day she hears that her close friend has committed suicide because her marriage didn’t work out. Worried about marriage herself she goes on to get a proposal from an old family friend, who’s son Rohit apparently has never forgotten her after they met as kids. She agrees to the marriage but first wants to meet him in person and know him better. She then comes to know that he is in Switzerland and goes to spy on him. At the airport, Aashi comes to know about Rohit’s where about and starts to seek him. Unfortunately she has the wrong man who claims to be Rohit.
Soon she meets the other man who claims to be Rohit and falls in love with him. They soon decide to get married. Later Aashi comes to know that the man she fell in love with is Bobby and not Rohit. She is heartbroken but decides to marry Bobby. She comes back to India and explains to her family that she would like to marry Bobby and not Rohit. Accordingly her marriage is planned, but things take a different turn when Aashi’s father is involved in a bank fraud case. Their marriage is subsequently cancelled but soon love wins all and Bobby and Aashi tie the knot. The movie is directed by Rahul Rawail and produced by Sohail Maklai. The music is composed by Nusrat Fateh and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar.
