The story of this movie revolves around a young woman named Sita. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who lives life on her own terms. She gets engaged to a college professor and is very happy. She begins the preparations for her big wedding. However, a young man named Rakesh finds Sita attractive. He is a rich spoilt boy who has been given all the luxuries and money to do whatever he pleases. Sita does not like him and ignores his advances. Rakesh tries his best to woo Sita but she is adamant and only has eyes for her fiancé. This makes Rakesh very angry and jealous and he ends up killing her fiancé in rage.
A devastated Sita has no choice but to leave town. To take revenge on Rakesh she marries an elderly rich man. Unfortunately it turns out that Rakesh is the old man’s son from a previous marriage. Things will be even worse in Sita’s life from here on. The movie is directed by K Vishwanath and produced by Premji. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics are written by Anand Bakshi. The cinematography is by Ishwar Bidri. The star cast includes Rakesh Roshan, Rekha, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Shreeram Lagu,T P Jain, Pawan Malhotra, Achyut Potdar, Dharmesh Tiwari, Ram Sethi, Deepak Qazir, Dilip Dhawan, Dev Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Jaya Mathur, Dina Pathak and Neeta Mehta.
