In 1930, when most of India was busy fighting against the British rule to end, the wealthy and carefree Jaswant Singh only cared about his entertainment and good times. He had friends who were solely by his side for his money and power. They drank all night and watched courtesans dance. Then one day his friend introduces him to a photographer named Amal. Jaswant likes him and hires him as his personal photographer. He accompanies him everywhere and takes several pictures of Jaswant. Then the latter meets a beautiful girl and marries her. Soon they have a son who is named Naresh. Turns out Amal takes some unusual interest in his son. Soon fate takes Jaswant a different road when his wife passes away and he finds another man’s picture in her locket. The film is directed and produced by Shakti Samanta. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Mithun Chakraborty, Amrish Puri, Shabana, Parveen Babi, Zeenat Aman, Sanjeev Kumar, Arun Govil and Rati Agnihotri.
