Baahubali (2015)

Mahishmathi is an ancient kingdom where an injured woman falls in the river under a waterfall holding a baby in one hand and is picked up by Sanga who adopts the baby and names him Shivudu. He grows up to be a strong, adventurous and courageous man. He is always curious to find out what lies beyond the waterfall in their village, but his mother has warned him never to cross that path. One day he finds a wooden mask that seems like it belongs to a woman. He climbs the dangerous waterfall to look for the mask’s owner, and finally reaches on the other side. There he meets Avantika, played by Tamanna Bhatia, the owner of the mask. Knowing he came looking for her to return the mask, she falls in love with him. She is a warrior from Devsena’s brother’s army. She is chosen to free former Queen Devsena from the evil emperor Bhalaladeva’s captivity. Shivudu promises to help her rescue Devasena. They manage to enter the kingdom of Mahishmathi and they see Devasena chained in the center of the palace. She meanwhile is collecting wood branches to make a pyre for burning the body of Bhalaladeva after her son Bahubali, played by Prabhas comes to rescue her. After Shivudu rescues Devsena and runs off only to be seen by the loyal soldier Khatappa who recognizes that Shivudu is Mahendra Bahubali son of Amarendra Bahubali. Bahubali is directed by S.S Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. The music is composed by M.M Keeravani.
