Bazaar is a film directed by Gauravv K. Chawla, starring Saif Ali Khan with debutant Rohan Mehra, Chitrangada Singh and Radhika Apte. The film is set in the backdrop of money, power and business, written by Nikhil Advani, Aseem Arora and Parvez Sheikh. The film released on 26th October 2018 is inspired by the 1987 American film Wall Street and was a critical commercial success at the box office.
The story goes this way that Allahabad Stock trader Rizwan Ahmed arrives in Mumbai to work with the top financial Maven Shakun Kothari. Ahmed bluffs his way into the largest trading firm and manages to convince them to give him a job. He starts roping in high-profile clients with the help of his co-worker and his girlfriend Priya. At an event with Priya he comes face to face with Shakun Kothari where he gives him a stock advice that proves to be correct and in the process, Rizwan Ahmed is ensuring he does not lose his account with Shakun Kothari. He ends up becoming close to Shakun Kothari and his wife Mandira. He starts visiting their lavish home and parties.
Very soon he realizes that he has become the ambitious stock broker for one of the most notorious businessman. Getting close to Kothari’s wife, Rizwan is able to prove that Shakun Kothari has been bribing the Government and Ministers with diamonds to select his company called Skycom. The SEBI deliberately detain Ahmed Rizwan in a bid to getting hold of their real target Rizwan Kothari.
