Amar is a valiant and brave cop who never gives up the opportunity of nabbing criminals and bringing them to justice. One day he saves an assassination attack on the Chief Minister’s life and the latter is impressed by his courage and bravery and thus gives him an important assignment. He asks Amar to expose a multi-crore rupees scandal and bring the perpetrators to justice. Amar promises his best efforts in the task. Turns out one of the CM’s assistants was responsible for the fraud. Meanwhile Amar interferes with all the wrong doings of the corrupt officials and this annoys them. Amar is falsely framed for the murder of the commissioner’s daughter.
Amar is arrested and one day escapes prison after one of the assassins attack him. He then finds out the real culprits and kills one of them when he is trying to escape. The movie is directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, and produced by Salim. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics are written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and Anwar Sagar. The story and screenplay is written by Nashil Mehta, Ashutosh Gowariker and Neeraj Vora. The choreography is by Chinni Prakash, Rekha Prakash and Jay Borade. The star cast includes Aamir Khan, Mamta Kulkarni, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad,Asrani,Satish Shah,Mukesh Rishi, Mushtaq Khan,Paresh Rawal, Ashish Vidhyarth, Avtar Gill,Dinesh Anand, Aprajita, Kanika and Jaya Mathur.
