Mr Sinha lives a lavish life with his two daughters Juhi and Reshmi. He is a doting father and would like them both to marry someone of their status and wealth. However when he comes to know that Juhi is in love with a middle class man named Vijay he is furious and refuses to give them his blessings. This forces the couple to elope and leave home. Soon Juhi gives birth to a baby boy. Mr. Sinha decides to forgive them and asks them to return home. On their way, while travelling in the train, it meets with an accident killing Juhi. Vijay and his son return to Mr Sinha who welcomes and accepts them. He lets Vijay run his business too.
When Reshmi returns home she is apprehensive of Vijay but soon accepts him as a family member and begins to fall in love with him. A few years later Dr. Joshi shocks everyone when he brings Juhi home, claiming she has lost her memory. The film is directed and produced by Bhappi Sonie. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim, Sarika, Jagdeep, Madan Puri, Kalpan Iyer, Roopesh Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Amjad Khan, Pran and Aruna Irani.
