Maharaja Singh’s kingdom is facing severe famine and drought, thus he orders his treasury be made open to the poor villagers. This order is not followed by the Senapati Durjan and the Mahamantri. When the king comes to know he is furious and thus killed by Senapati and Mahamantri. They now look for the queen and the prince Amar. The royal guard Sher Singh however leaves Amar in a Ganesh Temple where a gypsy couple adopt him. The queen and Sher Khan meanwhile form a rebellion against Durjan and start training an army. Durjan Singh dies and leaves behind his son Vikram who takes over the throne and his daughter Padmavati. Amar soon falls in love with Padmavati. Vikram captures Amar and tortures him in a dungeon. The film is directed and produced by Ramanand Sagar. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Reena Roy, Amjad Khan and Padma Chavhan.
