Raja and Vijay are the best of friends, even though they have very different personalities. Vijay is a responsible and obedient boy while Raja is a wealthy spoilt brat. Raja’s mother had died giving birth to him and his father blames Raja for his mother’s death. This creates a rift between father and son and thus the latter is not given love nor attention from his dad. He goes into bad company, drinking and womanizing. Even though his friend Vijay guides him to the right path, Raja has gone astray. One day Vijay’s mother meets a kind and beautiful girl anmed Rama at the temple and decides to get her son married to her.
Vijay agrees without even seeing the girl. On the wedding night when Vijay finally sees Rama’s face, he is shocked as it is the same girl Raja had once molested. Raja sees her and is shocked too. They both now live in guilt and realize that Rama married Vijay only to get revenge. Rama always thought that Vijay too was part of the conspiracy of getting her raped, but when she learns of his innocence she forgives them both. Things however turn for the worse when Raja out of guilt consumes poison and kills himself.
The film is directed by Tariq Shah and produced by Gulshan Kumar. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The star cast includes Sumeet Saigal,Tariq Shah, Rupa Ganguly, Moon Moonsen, Shammi and Navin Nischol.
