Professor Vijay and Bhujbal have a minor land dispute that erupts and escalates into a huge war. This results in Bhujbal killing Vijay and making his death look like an accident. Vijay’s pregnant wife runs to the temple of Bajranbali for safety and gives birth to a baby boy with magical powers. The temple priest then takes the baby to Thakur as instructed by the dying mother. He wholeheartedly accepts the child and names him Mahabir. He later adopts another child from his accountant and names him Balbir. Both the boys grow up and attend the same college.
Balbir falls for a girl called Seema, while Asha falls for Mahabir. Mahabir however pays no heed to her advances as he has attained celibacy and is a devotee of Bajrangbali. He also realizes through a series of nightmares how his father was killed and is now on a rampage to bring the culprits to justice.
