Gopi, played by Govinda, lives in a village with his mother. Soon he gets married to foreign brought up Madhu, played by Rambha. Things start taking a drastic turn when Madhu’s real personality comes out as she is used to wearing bikini’s, drinking and partying. This makes Gopi very uncomfortable. One day on her birthday party, she drinks a lot and dances. This makes Gopi angry and he slaps her. She runs away from home. His mom requests him to get her daughter-in-law back. Soon they reconcile and she becomes pregnant. Gopi makes sure that Madhu has no way of aborting the child.
Soon Gopi becomes a rich and successful man with all his hard work. He takes his 15 day old son and walks out on Madhu and comes to live with his mother. When Madhu protests he tells her to go away. Soon Madhu realizes her mistake of wanting to separate her husband from his mother, when she herself cannot live without her own child. The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Nandu G Tolani. The star cast includes Govinda, Ramya Krishnan, Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aasif Shaikh, Shashi Kiran, Bablu, Sanam, Bindu, Reema Lagoo and Shagufta Ali.
