Pooja, lives in a small village with her parents and brother Raju. They live a fairly poor existence, until she meets the wealthy Thakur Suraj and both fall in love with each other. Soon they get married and she moves into the massive house of the Thakur with her brother. Pooja’s life turns around and she is finally happy, but it doesn’t last very long. Turns out, she is unable to conceive a child. Meanwhile Raju falls in love with the Thakur’s sister Jyoti. They want to get married and Thakur is in favor, however things take a drastic turn when Thakur confesses of wanting to marry a girl called Vaishali. Pooja is shocked and so is Raju.
Raju unable to see his sister’s fate protests to the Thakur but is shunned away. Even Jyoti doesn’t agree with him. His sister’s future is now in his hands. The movie is directed by K Murli Mamnohar and produced by Narendra Bajaj. The music is composed by Himesh Reshmiya and Anand Raj Anand, and the lyrics are written by Arun Bhairav, Dev Kohli and Sudhakar Sharma. The star cast includes Jackie Shroff, Salman Khan, Rambha, Ashwini Bhave, Shakti Kapoor, Ashok Saraf, Mukesh Rishi, Anjan Srivastava, Aasif Shaikh, Shashi Kiran, Shweta Menon and Himani Shivpuri.
