Kishan is a spoilt and arrogant son of a wealthy businessman. He is studying medicine but is always up to some prank and troubles people around. He is taught a lesson by fellow student Madhu and is transformed. He then falls in love with her. They both decide to get married but on the day of their engagement Madhu witnesses a murder by Kapil. The latter kills her and a devastated Kishen swears revenge. He then chases him in a train and is pushed off from it by Kapil. Later when Kishen regains consciousness he sees Madhu in front of him and is shocked. Turns out, she is Chanchal, the twin sister of Madhu, who lives in a remote village. Kishen then begins practicing medicine and helping people in
the village just like Madhu had wanted to. Kapil however turns up into the scene again. Meanwhile a woman asks Kishen to help his wounded husband. Turns out it is Kapil’s wife and refuses to help. But on further probing he comes to know that Kapil is his biological brother who was separated from him years ago. The film is directed by K Bapayya and produced by D Rama Naidu. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini, Bindiya Goswami, Danny Denzongpa, Asrani, Om Prakash, Jeevan, Om
Shivpuri, Madan Puri, Mohan Choti, Maruti, Jagdish Raaj, Pinchoo Kapoor, Padmini Kapila, Preeti Ganguli and Tanuja.
