Bansi Birju 1972 film directed by Prakash Verma. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri.This film was their debut film as a star pair.
The film is about the love story between Birju the villager and his lady love Bansi who is a prostitute. The story revolves around the challenges the couple face when they get married as the villagers get to know that Bansi is a prostitute. Jaya Bhaduri as Bansi and Birju is Amitabh Bachchan. Starring in the film are also Ramesh Bhatia as the Police inspector and Ramesh Deo in supporting roles.
