Badal is an honest but naïve man who comes from a small village to complete his studies in the city in a reputed college to complete his studies. There he is laughed at for his village mannerisms and looks but soon becomes popular due to his bravery and courage. He meets the wealthy Tina Oberoi and falls in love with her and a lot of misunderstandings. Her father however disapproves of a village boy who has no status and money like him. He then hatches a plan to get Badal out of the way and complains to the college principal that Badal has been sexually molesting girls in the college. Tina however proves his innocence.
Her father then takes the help of a corrupt cop, who falsely implicates him for a crime and arrests him. Meanwhile Badal’s dad comes to the city to find out why his son is arrested. Tina’s father hires goons to get Badal killed but his plan fails and the lovers unite. The movie is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Dharmendra. The music is composed by Nadeem Shravan and the lyrics are written by Sameer and Anwar Sagar. The story and screenplay is written by Raj Kumar Santoshi. The cinematography is by Santosh Sivan and the choreography is by Farah Khan, Raghuram, Raju Sundaram and Rekha Chinni Prakash. The star cast includes Bobby Deol, Twinkle Khanna, Mukesh Khanna, Raj Babbar, Danny Denzongpa, Harish Patel, Anjan Shrivastava, Ashwin Kaushal, Viju Khote, Vijay Kashyap and Asha Sachede.
