Nikhil, played by Sanjay Suri returns to Mumbai from America and meets a girl at a pub but she refuses to talk to him. While playing a basketball match with his friends Rahul, played by Jimmy Shergill and Steve, she walks in with her friend Farhad. The girl’s name is Anamika, played by Urmila Matondkar. Nikhil tries talking to her again but Farhad mistakes it for Nikhil trying to flirt and harass her. A fight ensues and Nikhil accidentally ends up shooting Rahul. He gets paralysed and the cops arrest Nikhil who is imprisoned for 3 years.
Nikhil tries to contact Anamika to reveal the truth but no one comes to his aid. Later Ira, played by Juhi Chawla comes to know his side of the story. It is later revealed that Ira and Rahul were having an affair and she knew that Nikhil didn’t pull the trigger on Rahul. She helps Nikhil get bailed out. Steve is the one responsible for Rahul’s shooting and he shoots Nikhil. Ira holds herself responsible and shoots herself, while Steve kills himself with a bullet to his head. Nikhil and Anamika now are the only survivors.
The movie is written and directed by Onir and produced by Manohar P. Kanungo and Shailesh R. Singh. The music is composed by Pritam, Mithoon, Viveck Phillip and Amitabh Verma.
