The movie is based on the infamous and controversial ‘Operation Batla House’ encounter that took place in the Jamia Nagar area of Delhi on 19th September 2008. The encounter was planned against the Indian Mujahideen terrorists that were hiding there. Out of them two terrorists were shot dead, two were arrested and one escaped. The risky operation was planned after serial bomb blasts shook Delhi a week earlier, where 30 people were killed and another 100 severely injured.
One tough and brave police officer DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, played by John Abraham, is responsible for planning the operation and fighting the terrorists with tooth and nail. His wife Nandita Yadav, played by Mrunal Thakur always supportive and by his side, never gave up on him, even when the system did.
The movie is directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, John Abraham and Sandeep Leyzell. The film is written by Ritesh Shah. The music is composed by Ankit Tiwari, Tanishk Bagchi, Rochak Kohli and Stereo Nation. The cinematography is by Saumik Mukherjee.
