Vijay AKA Viju, played by Amitabh Bachchan is a seasoned hitman who returns from Paris, France for one last mission to Mumbai. He is assigned by Don Kabir Bhai, played by Prakash Raj to kill ACP Karan, played by Sonu Soon. Karan is an honest officer who wants to make his city crime free at all costs and eliminate gangsters like Kabir Bhai.
Karan meanwhile is trying hard to get the affection of an old college friend Tanya, played by Sonal Chauhan. Viju reaches the den of gangster Kabir to get involved in killing Karan, however in reality he reveals later to Tanya’s friend Amrita that Karan is his son and he is trying to save and help him.
One of Kabir Bhai’s aids is given the mission to kill Karan and without Viju’s knowledge he decides to execute the mission and shoots Karan, narrowly missing him. The second attempt however is successful and Karan gets shot and is rushed to the hospital by Viju. Somewhere during these incidents Viju meets his estranged wife Sita, played by Hema Malini and trys to patch up their relationship.
Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Abhishek Bachchan, Puri Jagannadh and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The music is composed by Anoop Rubens.
