Ashok works in Asha’s father’s office and is a honest and hard working employee. Asha falls in love with him and has had a crush on him since childhood. She gets so protective of him that she does not like any other woman coming close to him. One day Asha comes to know about a girl called Vinny who is trying to woo Ashok and in anger beats her up. Asha now thinks that she has Ashok all to herself but there comes another surprise. She gets to know that he has been caring for a girl named Renu for years. She goes to meet her and what she finds is a mentally and physically challenged girl. Just when things were getting back to normal for Asha, Ashok is mysteriously shot and gravely wounded. She is now hell bent on finding out who is out to kill him. The film is directed by R Thyagaraajan and produced by C Dhandayudapani. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Rajesh Khanna, Rajnikanth, Tina Munim, Padmini Kohlapure, Meenakshi Sheshadri and Pran.
