A brilliant history student who has discovered many monumental historic truths is now eager to learn about the famous and doomed couple Prince Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah of Hyderabad and Bhagmati. As she is unable to find helpful references in her study, she gets the guiding hand of an official who works at the historic institution. As they uncover relevant information the two fall deeply in love with each other. But there is an eerie feeling of dejavu that they have met each other before.
After a while both of them get this realization that they have met before. In fact they learn that they are the doomed couple Qutb and Bhagmati, who have been reincarnated in this life and are given another chance by the almighty to be together.
The movie is written and directed by Ashok Kaul. The star cast includes Tabu, Milind Soman, Shoma Anand, Tariq Shah, Hema Malini and J.V Somayajulu. The music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the cinematography is by Sameer Arya, Peter Pereira and Thomas A. Xavier. The film’s choreography is by Bhushan Lakhandari.
