Ragini is a visually impaired beautiful woman, living with her ailing mother and father who is a singer. In spite of her disability, Ragini is talented and has a melodious voice. Her mother is keen on getting her married and searches for prospective grooms, but the first one rejects her due to her disability. Her mother has a stroke and dies. Her father Govind is devastated and carries on a struggling life with Ragini.One day her father has to travel out of town for work and unfortunately meets with a horrific accident that kills him.

 

Ragini is now left alone with her maid-servant and aunt. A man called Rajan enters her life and things start looking positive again for her. They both fall in love and their days are spend in bliss, intimacy and adventures. One day however, Rajan has to leave town and go for some work. Ragini patiently waits for him days on end but there is no sign of him. Soon she notices that some of her jewelry is missing and her back accounts are cleared. A horrible feeling comes upon her but she trusts Rajan and knows that he wouldn’t do something like this. But no one knows what happened to Rajan or where he is.

 

The movie is directed by Aruna Raje and produced byAmit Khanna and Mahesh Bhatt. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics are written byAmit Khanna. The story and dialogues are written by Kamna Chandra. The star cast includes Shreedhara, Manohar Singh, AshwiniBhave, Anand, Dilip Raj, Umanshree,Anjana Mumtaz and Sulbha Pyarelal Deshpande.
