Bharat Bhushan, played by Vinay Pathak is an income tax officer who is happy-go-lucky and relishes all the little joys of life. He’s a very simple man with a simple mindset. He happens to participate in a TV reality show called ‘Aao Guess Karein’ and wins 25 lakhs Rs along with a chance to journey on a luxurious cruise.
Present at the show is also Ajit Talwar, played by Kay Kay Menon, who is a business mogul. He is married to Naina Talwar, played by Rukshar, but has a roving eye and is having an affair with his secretary Spanta, played by Kishwar Merchant. He is otherwise a busy man with only money and women on his mind. His friend Kapoor, played by Rahul Vohra, invites him to this reality show.
Bhushan’s friend Shekharan, played by Suresh Menon who is also an income tax officer asks him to join him for a raid but Bhushan refuses saying he needs to make use of the free holiday ticket he has won from the contest. His friend however follows Bhushan to the cruise and keeps a close watch on businessman Ajit to get all relevant information to conduct the raid. There in begins their fun filled and hilarious journey.
