Tarun, played by JD Chakravarthy has recently moved into a new posh bunglow with his wife Namrata, played by Manisha Koirala and their two children 10 year old Taman and 6 year old Nimmi. While settling in the house, Nimmi happens to find a doll and starts playing with it. She also keeps calling out to someone called Shabbu. Her parents think she is calling the doll that name until one day she points out to a empty corner saying that Shabbu is there.
The family help Laxman senses a spirit lurking in the house but no one takes him seriously. Tarun’s sister Pooja who comes to say with them too notices eerie happenings and paranormal activity in the house. Nimmi’s parents take her to the physiatrist worried about her behavior. The physiatrist tells them that some children do that out of want for attention.
One day suddenly Laxman goes missing and is found murdered while Nimmi gets possessed with an evil spirit, who tries to kill her mother and father. Later Taman is found murdered and Pooja burns Nimmi to make the evil spirit escape. The entire family leaves the haunted house and runs for their life. The movie is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Jitendra Jain. The music is composed by Sandeep Chowtha.
