Karamveer is an honest newspaper editor who dies at a young age and his wife Jayanti, daughter Bhavani and son Gopal make ends meet somehow. Bhavani becomes a news journalist and tries to rescue a prostitute and her blind daughter Gopi. This puts her in the bad books of a gangster named Phatte Dada. She then approaches a cop who is corrupt and mostly drunk on duty named Ashutosh but he is of no help. She then meets a politician named Purshottam and he gives her some courage to fight the bad guys. He claims to be her father’s friend. Later Jayanti is shocked to see that Purshottam is the man who killed her husband. Bhavani is devastated and her trust in people and the judiciary system is shaken to the core.
