Bison is an Indian Tamil-language sports drama film written and directed by Mari Selvaraj. It is being produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Sehgal, Pa. Ranjith, and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios. The new film introduces a motivating tale to the audience. Dhruv Vikram is playing lead roles in it, along with Anupama Parameswaran. The supporting cast consists of Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Kalaiyarasan in key roles.
The film is a biopic of a kabaddi player, Manathi Ganesan, whose early life is based in agriculture. The film is a narration of the way Ganesan masters and rises through his ability to play for India in kabaddi. Set in rural India, "Bison" is the narrative of tenacity, dedication, and success of one individual to make his name in sporting history.
Released in December 2020 under the working title DV03, the movie was later dubbed "Bison" in May 2024. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, a master of intellectual storytelling, the film is set to inspire and entertain audiences with its gripping story. The initial shooting schedule has been completed, and the movie is now in its final production stages.
