Kamla is a controlling and dominating lady in the Bhandari household. Her husband Kailash who is afraid of her is a stay at home dad. They live with their two sons Suraj and Vicky. Kamla would like her older son Suraj to marry someone with the same status and money. However he goes against her wishes and marries a simple yet smart village girl named Shalu and brings her home. Kamla is upset and furious at this behavior of Suraj but yet accepts his sons choice. Soon Kamla and her secretary start to scheme of new plans to torture and get rid of Shalu, but she persists. One day things get out of hand when Kamla accuses Shalu of stealing her jewelry.
Turns out Shalu was framed and proves her innocence. She then teaches her mother in law a lesson and makes her accept her mistakes and finally take her as a daughter in law of the house. The film is directed by J K Bihari and produced by Suresh Bhagat. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the screenplay is by Sameer Anjaan, Hasan Kamal, Jagdish Kanwal and Vijay Kumar.
