Chandermohan comes from a middle class background and his parents want him to get married soon. However being a manglik, he finds it difficult to find a suitable bride for himself. His friend Gafoor has two wives and he advices him to go away from town and re-locate in Bombay. A talented singer, Chandermohan then begins to sing at the Tejpal auditorium and soon falls in love with the rich Asha. She being a manglik too, her father and grandmother wants her to marry soon. However her father opposes their marriage. Meanwhile Chandermohan makes a fake astrological chart that shows he is not a manglik and Asha’s father Mangal is a promiscuous man. The film is directed by Rahul Rawail and produced by Randhir Kapoor. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Randhir Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Poonam
