The movie revolves around the stories of three different individuals and their struggle to get an entry into Bollywood at all costs. The three ordinary people from ordinary backgrounds are nurturing big Bollywood dreams.
First is Vishnu, played by Ashish Vidyarthi who is in a very mediocre 9 to 5 job that is not challenging to him anymore. He is creatively inclined and wants to explore this side by being an actor and make a career professionally in it but due to family responsibilities he is unable to even try and continues living his empty life. He explains to his wife that he wants to be an actor at any costs and cannot go on like this. His wife reluctantly throws him a going away party and asks Vishnu to say a few words. Before he can say anything he collapses and the doctors later diagnose him with last stage of pancreatic cancer. He makes a pandit pray to make him a superstar in his next life.
Second is Rohit, who shares a house with his parents in Delhi. He is so obsessed with becoming an actor that he does crazy things like making crank calls to Bollywood stars or dancing and acting behind closed doors. One day he decides to take part in a talent hunt competition and in the heat of the moment breaks a bottle on his head to make the acting look real. His violence gets more and more dangerous with each audition that finally the judges tell him that he cannot act and shouldn’t try. A heart broken Rohit returns home to act even more immoral.
The third story is of Imli, played by Raima Sen who is a prostitute in Kolkata and nurtures dream of a Bollywood career. Many who know her obsession have taken advantage and conned her. She happens to meet a filmmaker who promises to help her by getting her a role in a film after an expensive and glamorous photoshoot. Once back in Mumbai the filmmaker is pressurized to cast an established name and this crushes all Imli’s dreams and she eventually works as a dancer at a Dubai club.
