The Seth family is well settled in Canada. Me Seth passed away years back but his wife and children live there. Their son Rahul and daughter Twinky are both of marriageable age and have pressure to get married. However one day, Rahul stuns everyone when he gets home a blonde girl named Kimberly and announces his marriage soon to her. The family is in shock and reluctantly give their blessings. Thinsg take an ugly turn when one day Kimberly dies in a plane crash. Rahul is devastated. His family however is still persistent that he can marry someone else and not lose hope.
Rahul is miserable but still toying with the idea of marriage. After a while he refuses to marry but his family is now furious and put an ultimatum to him that he must marry a Hindu girl soon. Thus in desperation he asks an escort names Sue, of Hispanic origin to pretend to be his Hindu bride. However Sue might not be what she claims to be.
The movie is directed by Deepa Mehta and produced by David Hamilton. The music is composed by Sandeep Chowta and the story is written by Ajay Virmani.
