Ranjit Singh is a wealthy man who loves playing chess with his friends at every given opportunity. He wants someone to tutor his spoilt young son Manjit and give him a good direction in life. He thus meets and recruits professor Satish Khurana to do the needful. Satish is reluctant at first but decides to take up the tough job of transforming Manjit. Satish brings about such an incredible change in him that Ranjit’s two close friends Madan Teja and Babulal Bhakhri also want Satish to tutor their respective sons. Things one day turn so bad that Satish is fired from his job in the college when he is accused of leaking the exam papers for his tutoring students. Little does he know that Ranjit and his friends have a sinister plan for him. The film is directed by Esmayeel Shroff and produced by Mohan Rao. The music is composed by Kiran and R D Burman. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar, Danny Denzongpa, Kim, Raj, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Asha Parekh, Jeevan, Krishan Dhawan, Rakesh Bedi, Kader Khan, Sudhir, Bharat Kapoor, Nitin Sethi, C S Dubey, Bhagwan, Azad and Helen.
