Anju is brought up in a palatial house by her ruthless uncle Tribhovandas and his equally cruel wife Amba, who ill treat and exploit Anju. Manju on the other hand is brought up in a poor slum area, where she becomes carefree and street smart, ready to tackle anyone who wrongs her. One day due to the endless torture her aunt and uncle are causing her, Anju manages to escape and reaches the slum area, thanks to taxi driver Jaggu. He already is at loggerheads with Manju due to her foul mouth and prankster ways. He thinks that it is her trying to fool him dressed in a sari. Meanwhile Manju reaches Tribhovandas’s bungalow in a case of mistaken identities.
Manju realizes that everyone including the house servant is calling her Anju and it is a case of mistaken identities. She makes things right by treating them just the way they treated Anju. Soon Anju and Manju meet and get Tribhovandas and his wife Amba arrested. The film is directed by Pankaj Parashar and produced by A Purnachandra Rao. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
