The story of Chal Chalein revolves around our fragile education system that is stifling for the students. Some learn to live with the immense pressure and stress, while others aren’t able to tolerate it and succumb to it. A student from a reputed school is constant pressurized to achieve a certain level of marks. After trying his best he is unable to reach the mark, which disappoints his teachers as well as parents. This disappointment deeply affects the student who takes the drastic step of ending his life.
After news of the student’s suicide spreads around the community, there is an uproar among the students. Especially the boy’s friends are shocked that he didn’t confide in them and took this drastic measure. Not ones to take it sitting down, the students declare enough is enough and they sue the school system, the boy’s parents and the government. A Top lawyer takes up the case and the news of the sucide becomes national sensational news, drawing attention to the loopholes in our school and education systems.
The movie is directed by Ujjwal Singh produced by Mahesh Padalkar. The music is composed by Ilayaraaja.
