Aman Kapoor, played by Rahul Bose is an investment banker who has recently lost his pregnant wife. The incident has made him repulsive and depressed. He goes into a shell and doesn’t like to interact much socially hence. After returning from a party late at night, Aman’s car breaks down and his phone battery dies. He takes refuge in secluded spot where he meets a prostitute named Chameli. She strikes a conversation but Aman is repulsed by her profession but slowly warms up to her. He even protects her from cops who try to manhandle her. Durign the course of the night, Chameli helps out many people she meets on the street and who she is familiar with.
Aman and Chameli soon become friends. Her pimp unfortunately rents her to a local ruthless politician who is known to injure prostitutes. She tells Aman that she owes money to her pimp and thus he will not let her go free. Aman pays off the debt but they have a scuffle and the pimp gets stabbed. They escape and he asks his police friend to tell the politician to leave Chameli alone. Eventually all the events of the night make Aman a changed man.
The movie is directed by Anant Balani and Sudhir Mishra. The film is produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya and Irshad Kamil.
