Chandidas is an Emotional-Romantic Musical-Historical-Thriller Family Melodrama Film crafted with excellence by Nitin Bose and written by Aga Hashr Kashmiri. The Story revolves around the life of Chandidas (played by KL Saigal)- a legendary 15th-C. Bengali Vaishnavite poet- who wants equality in the society and meets with Rami (played by Umasash)- a sweet girl belonging to a lower caste and they fell in love and wanted to marry each other- but things get complicated- when upper-caste merchant Bijoynarayan (played by Pahadi Sanyal) wants her love by any means and causes trouble to them- but fate plays its role, leading to consequences.
