Gambhir Singh, played by Dev Anand is an honest and humble man. Being a retired chief inspector, he has always abided by all the laws and regulations of his country and made sure corrupt people are brought to justice. He will not tolerate illegal activity of any kind. However things in his own house don’t seem to be very peaceful and in order. His daughter-in-law Mini, played by Divya Dutta, has walked out on his son and child to pursue her dreams of Bollywood.
Gambhir has made it his personal goal in life to bring Mini back to his son by convincing her that her family needs her more at this time. Just when he thought things couldn’t get more challenging, the news of Mini’s murder does the round. She is shot dead in a guesthouse where she was filming along with other film unit members. The film is incidentally financed by Dubai based gangster Sultan, played by Naseeruddin Shah and headed by Mahesh, played by Jackie Shroff.
Somehow Gambhir gets blamed for the murder and he is unable to find enough evidence to prove himself innocent. He now not only has to clear his name from the murder case but also help in nabbing the most wanted criminal of India Sultan. The movie is directed and produced by Dev Anand. The music is composed by AD Boyz, Raja Kashif, Sanjay Jaydeep and lyrics are written by Neeraj and Anand Joshi.
