The police commissioner suspends Chatur Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt, after he fails to fulfill his duties well as a police detective. There in he is left on his own devices but never to be involved in any case again. However as fate may have it a high profile case comes into the commissioner’s office, which needs attention immediately. None of the other officers want to get involved as it deals with providing security to a corrupt and shamed minister.
The Police Commissioner has no choice but to appoint Chatur and his deputy Pappu Panther, played by Suresh Menon for the minister’s safety and security while he is recuperating at a hospital due to ill health. Chatur is very particular and makes sure everyone who comes to meet the minister in the hospital gets screened including his wife Savitri, played by Rati Agnihotri and secretary, Sonia, played by Ameesha Patel.
Despite all the security and vigilance the minister gets assassinated. Chatur must now find out who the killer is and get him to justice. Sonia is a suspect and closely watched but she manages to escape and go to Cape town where a widespread search is organized to find out the truth and get more information on the killers.
Chatur Singh Two Stars is directed by Ajay Chandok and produced by Mohamed Aslam, while the music is composed by Sajid-Wajid.
