Khushi, played by Rani Mukerjee is an independent and happy go lucky girl living in Delhi. Being an orphan has taught her to take care of herself from a young age and be street smart. She happens to meet the dashing Ranbir Malhotra, played by Ajay Devgn and befriends him. He tells her about a dream house that he is building in Shimla, which is still unoccupied. Unfortunately Khushi gets fired from her job and has no where to go. She then remembers the unoccupied house of Ranbir and goes to live there without telling him.
On reaching the house, she tells everyone around that she is Ranbir’s fiancé. She then meets his entire family as well as Ranbir’s girlfriend Pooja, played by Sonali Bendre. When Ranbir comes he is surprised to see Khushi there. He then uses her to make Pooja jealous. Khushi and Ranbir end up falling in love. After a while both are at a point where they care about each other but due to the present circumstances they aren’t able to confess their love.
The movie is directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Lalit Kapoor and Raju Narula. The music is composed bySajid-Wajid.
