Set in the picturesque and serene Darjeeling, the story of Chowrasta-Crossroads of Love tells us the outcomes of four different stories weaved into this movie. The story begins with an elderly man who keeps to himself usually, loves to plant tea and take care of his plantations. He also lovingly writes letters to his deceased wife and hopes he can give them all to her one day. He harbors a desire to fly off the cliff by jumping off, which is ending his life and reuniting with his wife.
The next story is about a newly married couple who are on their honeymoon. The love and romance has gained momentum and now dropped to a level where reality has hit them a bit. They are already experiencing the marriage blues, also since their marriage was had after eloping due to the difference in their cultures. The last story revolves around a terrorist who wants to settle in Gorkhaland and doesn’t care that the cops are after him.
The movie is directed by Anjan Dutta and produced by Sudhir D Ahuja. The music is composed by Neel Dutt. The star cast includes Victor Banerjee, Atul Kulkarni, Roopa Ganguly, Naved Aslam, Aparajita, Saswata Chatterje and Roopali Ganguly.
