Meera, played by Diana Penty comes to London to be with her husband Kunal, played by Randeep Hooda. While there Kunal is furious to see her and tells her he only married her for money. Dejected and depressed she leaves his house. With no where to go Meera breaks down at the washroom of a departmental store. She catches the attention of Veronica, played by Deepika Padukone who is an independent girl. She lets Meera stay in her apartment with her.
They later meet Gautam, played by Saif Ali Khan at a club and the three end up becoming good friends. Gautam’s mother wants him to settle down and is upset after seeing him with Veronica and Meera. He lies to his parents that he’s in a relationship with Meera. Eventually Meera and Gautam fall in love, but Meera never admits it because she is aware that Veronica has feelings for him. Eventually Veronica learns of the Meera’s and Gautam’s love and gets out of their way even though she is very hurt by it.
The movie is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan. The movie is written by Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Ali. The music is composed by Pritam and Salim-Sulaiman. The cinematography is by Anil Mehta.
