Chandu Nagre, played by Vivek Oberoi joins the underworld and quickly becomes popular among his gang members. He learns the trick of the trade and gains higher profits. This makes him closer to the gang leader Mallik, played by Ajay Devgn. Soon Chandu and Mallik wreck havoc in Mumbai city, killing one opponent after another. Chandu also takes revenge on one of the police officers who had tortured him in jail and kills him. Everything seems to be going fine between Chandu and Mallik, until there is a contract killing that comes into the picture. Both of them argue during the final execution and Chandu messes the act. This creates a rift between them both.
Mallik furious at Chandu stops relying on him and starts giving direct orders. Police Commissioner Veerappali, played by Mohanlal comes to know of the rift between Chandu and Mallik and uses it to get a control on the underworld mafia. The fight continues in Kenya when Mallik hires men to kill Chandu, he gets injured but survives. When Koda Singh orders Chandu to kill Mallik he doesn’t follow the orders, but Koda takes matters into his own hands and kills Mallik by shooting him point blank. This news devastates Chandu and he surrenders to the police.
The movie is directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and co-produced by C. Aswini Dutt and Boney Kapoor. The music is composed by Sandeep Chowta.
