Mangala lives with her maternal uncle and his family after losing her parents. She is in love with Anoop and wants to marry him but he is not interested in marriage. Her marriage is thus fixed with Anand. After her wedding she is horrified to learn that Anand is blind. He however cares for her and is respectful of her feelings. This makes her fall in love with him. Meanwhile Anoop enters her life. When Anand comes to know
he is furious and throws Mangala out of the house. She is not accepted by her aunt and is devastated. She then comes to know that Anand has become a famous singer. She then pretends to be speech impaired and gets hired as a maid so that he cannot recognize her voice. Meanwhile Anand announces that he is getting married to a dancer named Tara. Things get complicated once again when Anoop shows up. The film is directed by Raj Khosla and produced by Subhash Verma. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Sanjeev Kumar, Rekha, Rakesh Roshan, Moushumi Chatterjee, Vikram, Paintal, Siddharath Kak, Radhika and Leela Mishra.
