Chulbul Pandey, played by Salman Khan is an honest police officer who lives with his mother, step father and half brother Makkhi, played Arbaaz Khan. His stepfather dislikes him and he always has tiffs with him and his step brother. He falls in love with a girl called Rajjo, played by Sonakshi Sinha, while Makkhi is in love with a village girl called Nirmala, played by Mahi Gill. Makkhi wants to marry Nirmala but his father refuses saying he needs the money to repay the factory loan. He then steals the money from Chulbul and gives it to Nirmala’s father to convince him. Chulbul on the other hand asks Rajjo to marry him after her father commits suicide.
Chulbul marries Rajjo at the same venue where Makkhi and Nirmala are to wed. Her father takes this as an insult and cancels the wedding of his daughter. Chedi takes advantage of the fight between the two brothers and burns Makkhi’s father’s factory. Chulbul later learns that it was Chedi who also killed their mother. In a rage he kills Chedi and gets Makkhi married to Nirmala. The movie is directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora and Dhillin Mehta.
