Monalisa is a happy go lucky girl Bengali girl. In spite of enduring a lot of hardships at a very young age she hasn’t lost hope. She lives with her mother and wheelchair bound father who suffered a paralytic stroke many years ago. She and her mom have struggled a lot in life. Just when Monalisa thought nothing worse could ever happen to her, her boyfriend who she dearly loved breaks up with her leaving her for another girl. Disillusioned and confused with life, she now starts to take music lessons.
Even at the music class, she doesn’t get peace and happiness as the other students mock her efforts. The only person who really appreciates her skills is her music teacher Jay Mathur. They become good friends and eventually fall in love. She makes Jay meet her parents who think he is a lovely boy and approve of him. However, Monalisa has no idea that Jay has a dark past that will come soon to haunt them. The cops meanwhile are keeping a close watch on him.
The movie is directed by Aroop Adhikari and produced by Rachana Adhikari. The star cast includes Rajit Kapur,Milind Gunaji,Sharad Kapoor,Jai Mathur,Vikram Luthra, Mahima Mehta, Sunil Mathur, Bablu Shah, Kabir Sadanand, Akash, Anant Jog, Abhijeet Lehiri, Amit Khaladkar, Raj Banerjee, Minakashi Verma, Usha Bachani and Aarti Makhijani.
